Asus Vivotab is here!

Asus' 10.1" full windows 8 tablet are now available at malls! I saw one at Trinoma, selling it at the price of Php 25,999!

I manage to try one, i must say, it a good tablet but cant compare to iPad. Hindi dahil mas maganda ang iPad, but its just a different tablet. The productivity on this one is very good, full Microsoft office is a good enough reason for me to buy it. While the iPad still wins in terms of casual gaming and apps.

Asus Vivotab Smart ME400c Specs:
10.1 inches Multitouch Screen 1366 x 768 pixels
Atom Z2760 @ 1.8ghz
PowerVR SGX 545 @ 533mhz
2gb Ram
64gb Storage (33gb Free)
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0
8mp rear, 2mp front camera
microHDMI, microUSB port, microSD card reader
G-Sensor, Light Sensor, Gyroscope, E-Compass, NFC
ASUS SonicMaster Audio
Full Windows 8
9.5 Battery Life
265.5 x 171 x 9.7 mm (dimensions) 580g (tablet only, weight)

The SRP of this device is Php 25,999 (tablet only) but i saw one in TIPIDPC selling it for Php 24,999 (tablet only) and Php 28,999 (with transleeve and bluetooth keyboard).

Initial Impression:
Pros:
-Lightweight
-Small tablet (compare to other windows 8 tablet)
-Fluid, smooth UI
-Full windows 8 experience (DOTA!)
-Full Microsoft Office
-Full PC browsing experience
-No problem on compatibility (.exe files works!)
-Great video player (can play 720p and 1080p)
-Good Battery life
-Instant on and off like smartphones

Cons:
-When it comes to apps, not good as an iPad
-Processor is too weak for heavy task (can only play very old x86 games)
-Processor is only comparable to AMD's E-350 but has a lot lower graphic card
