S4 on PH: SnapDragon 600 or Exynos Octa?

Still wondering what variant of S4 will be release to the Philippines? This suggest that both SnapDragon 600 and Exynos Octa will release on the Philippines.

What's the difference? S4 with Exynos Octa is running at Quadcore A15 1.6ghz and will switch to Quadcore A7 1.2ghz for the battery saving. As some benchmark suggest, it is the fastest chip for the phone yet. But why we are getting the both variants? The Exynos Octa variants has no LTE but only HSDPA+ while the SnapDragon 600 variant, which will be running at Quadcore 1.9ghz, has an LTE. Dont worry LTE lovers, the SnapDragon 600 variant has the highest clock ever, higher than other android with SnapDragon 600. Meaning, still faster than the others.

And I am just wondering, why will you get the Galaxy S4 if you have still the S3? I got the Galaxy Note 2 (which has the same chip with S3, only clocked a bit higher) and it flies every time I use it. I feel like I don't have to upgrade for at least 3 years. Maybe if I have some money to Burn, but I dont think I will still buy it. I rather keep my Note 2 and buy Blackberry Z10 or Lumia 920.

NBA is Coming to the Philippines

Jeremy Lin and James Harden together with the Houston Rockets will battle against the Indiana Pacers on the MOA Arena in Pasay City, Philippines at Oct 10, 2013.

The NBA is holding a preseason game. NBA commissioner David Stern made an official announcement via video message that was shown at the MOA Arena.

How much for the ticket? Carlo Singson, NBA Asia Philippine Manager, said that it is going to be affordable.

Houston vs Pacers? Preseason? for those who are disappointed, I believe this is just a start of something big. We might see NBA stars in the future regularly.

LEGO: Excavator 8043 and TowTruck 8109

Back from my long vacation! I just bought a Lego Technic Excavator 8043 and a Lego Technic Tow Truck 8109!

Lego Technic 8109 Tow Truck (2011)
Number of Parts: 1115
Difficulty: Easy
Building time: 4-5 hours
Price: Php 9,999 SRP (I bought one from an online seller at Php 8,000)

This lego has 92 steps to build but it is easy. I love the color (Yellow and Red) and I think this is one of the best designed LEGO. My building time is around 3 hours. The Bed and the fork are motorized.It includes one motor and battery pack and it needs a 6 AA Battery.

Difficulty: Medium-Hard
Building time: 5-6 hours
Price: Php 19,999 SRP (I bought one from an online seller at Php 12,000)

This thing is huge! It has a very big box.The best Lego IMO, It has 4 linear actuators, 4 motors, 1 battery pack, 2 IR, and 2 Control. Yup, it is remote control. My building time is around 4 hours. I almost got a headache on those gears! they are just too many! This thing act just like a real Excavator and well, it looks like a real Excavator. You can use the remote control to move, twist, and move the arm. The set needs 6 AA batteries and 6 AAA batteries!

Both units are design by Anders Gaasedal, which IMO the best LEGO technic designer, too but he just move to LEGO Mindstorm division. Both are great set and must have if you are a collector or just a lover.
